The Art of Hair Restoration Meets Artificial Intelligence
If you want the most technologically advanced, minimally invasive hair restoration solution available, it’s time to discover ARTAS, the world’s first intelligent hair transplant system to combine state-of-the-art robotics with artificial intelligence technology.
The ARTAS machine uses a fully automated robotic arm equipped with multi-camera, stereoscopic vision to intelligently analyze the best follicles for transplanting. The follicles are then gently harvested from the donor area with robotic speed and micron-level precision.
Unlike traditional, Strip Method hair transplants, ARTAS uses Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) to graft follicles in naturally occuring units of one to three hairs. By removing follicles individually and not in strips, this method preserves the natural look of the donor area, does not require stitches and will not leave a linear scar.
Your follicles will then be implanted in the areas where your hair is thinning or balding by Clinical Director, Benjamin Sell, PA-C. An attending physician will also be present. Benjamin has spent years perfecting his strategic and artistic technique. He carefully transplants each follicular unit with the proper orientation and angle to blend in with your naturally growing hair.
What to Expect
The ARTAS robotic hair transplant is an outpatient procedure performed at the Global Center for Hair Restoration in Nashville, TN. Prior to your procedure, you will need to shave your hair in the donor area. This allows the image-guided robot to accurately visualize and harvest each follicular unit. You will be given detailed instructions regarding the required length of your hair.
Since the ARTAS system uses cutting-edge technology to extract and transplant hair without the use of a scalpel or sutures, only local anesthesia is needed. You will be awake and comfortable during the procedure.
ARTAS offers faster healing and less downtime than other types of hair transplants. While you may experience minor discomfort and swelling for one to three days post-procedure, many patients are able to resume their normal activities after a few days. Tiny micro-scars in the donor area will be unseen once your shaved hair begins to grow.
Individual results and timelines vary between patients. New, fine hairs may be seen as soon as three months after the procedure and continue to increase for a full year. Noticeable improvement is often seen around six months with full, natural-looking results after one year.
Is ARTAS Right For Me?
ARTAS is FDA approved for harvesting hair follicles from the scalp in men with straight, black or brown hair who have been diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia (male-pattern hair loss).
